Cameroonian football legend, Samuel Eto’o has been appointed interim player-manager at Turkish club, Antalyaspor. The 34-year-old joined the club in June 2015 on a three-year-contract.
The former Barcelona striker replaces manager, Yusuf Simsek who had his contract terminated by mutual consent on Monday, December 7, 2015.
Over the club’s next three games, the club will be hoping the former Cameroon captain impresses. In a case where he does, he may be given the managerial role on a permanent basis after the winter break.
The club’s technical director, Mehmet Ugurlu will play the role of guardian and assistant to Eto’o.
