A teenager was at a hotel when he jumped into a swimming pool together with a chicken.
Police in Bavaria, Germany, received a call on Tuesday afternoon, after a 19-year-old man plunged into the hotel’s swimming pool, which was covered for the winter.
The teen was naked and attempted to go for a swim while holding the chicken.
A hotel manager in Bodenmais, alerted police around 4:30 p.m., saying that a naked man had jumped into the outdoor swimming pool with a chicken in his arms.
“The man was not in the pool for long,” a spokesman for the Bavaria police said. “The hotel manager saw him as soon as he jumped in.”
The outdoor pool was covered, but the man broke the cover when he jumped in, causing extensive damage, according to police.
After the jump, the naked man ran down the street with the chicken in tow. He eventually abandoned the chicken as he continued running.
The teen was stopped by patrol officers. The man resisted arrest with violence, police said. After his arrest, the chicken was found unharmed at the side of the road.
Police alerted the owner of the chicken, who came to pick up the bird and returned it to his pen.
The man is facing charges of theft, criminal damage, trespass and resisting a police officer.
