The mum of a teenage boy seduced by the family’s babysitter says the woman who later gave birth to his child has devastated his life – and she fears he won’t ever recover.
Peadophile Leah Cordice, 20, groomed the 13-year-old for months before having sex with him after a drunken night out in January 2017.
She later claimed he tried to rape her before she was jailed earlier this summer – an accusation which left the boy on the brink of a breakdown.
The teen was playing Xbox when she entered his room, pulled his trousers down and forced herself on him.
When the pregnancy emerged she claimed the baby was fathered by her husband – who also believed the child was his.
Cordice was found guilty of sexual activity with a child in March this year and jailed for two-and-a-half years at Reading Crown Court in May.
Now the boy’s mother – who is remaining anonymous to protect her son’s identity – has described their former friend’s deceit and “zero remorse” for her actions.
She said: ”Leah was a trusted friend of the family.
”She burst into my son’s room while I wasn’t there, while he was relaxing playing his games and forced herself on him.
”She never tried it when I was at home – she knew how wrong it was. Leah is a tall woman, my son was a very small boy when the abuse began, it disgusts me.
”When she got found out she even tried to say that my son had raped her. I’m just so livid at all she’s put him through.
”She’s shown zero remorse – it tore my son apart for a long time. She’s a compulsive liar.
”Having my grandchild taken away, my son becoming a dad at such a young age, it’s been incredibly traumatic for us all.
”I stood up for Leah when the rumours first started circling, I never thought she could do anything like this to us.”
The victim’s family first came into contact with Leah through mutual friends.
Cordice, of Windsor, Berks., became a regular guest in their family home even helping out with babysitting duties.
For over a year the victim was groomed by scheming Cordice who would give him money for fish and chips, send him complimentary texts calling him ‘cute’ and make him cakes.
Cordice first seduced the teenager by pulling down his trousers and asking for sex after she had been on a drunken night out in January 2017.
She even abused him whilst pregnant with their child – who she claimed was her husband’s. She later gave birth to the boys child.
But the male victim had always had an ‘inkling’ the child was his and had bonded with the baby on multiple occasions.
The mother of the victim first became aware of a problem when her son’s behavior changed in 2018.
She said: ”He became moody and withdrawn, it wasn’t like him at all.
”Then he started saying that he didn’t want Leah around the house anymore but I thought he was just being a stroppy teen.
”Not long after that the police came over to our house.
”They said that there were accusations that Leah was sleeping with a young boy. I feel so stupid now but I stuck up for her.
”They questioned my son too but he was too scared to admit what had been going on and lied to them.
”It wasn’t until a few months later when I bumped into an old friend at a party who said ”I believe you’ve become a grandma” that the room span and I realised what she meant – suddenly it all clicked into place.
”I left the party and literally ran home. My son admitted it straight away, he said she only ever did it when I was out or away for work.
”He told me that she would sometimes chuck his mates out of the house so she could abuse him.
”She’d warned him not to say anything to anyone – she warned him that he would get into trouble if he ever told anyone. As we spoke he started to realise how bad it was. We went to the police the next day.”
Leah denied the charges – claiming instead that she had been raped by the young boy – and the case went to court in March 2020.

A DNA test proved that she indeed gave birth to the victim’s child and family proceedings placed the little girl into foster care. She has since been adopted.
Defending Cordice at the trial, Tara McCarthy revealed that the defendant still stuck by her assertion that she had not done anything wrong.
The lawyer said: ”This is a desperately sad case all around. There are absolutely no winners. The age gap between the victim and Ms Cordice is relatively limited.
”She is a very immature person, she is still and she certainly was then and it makes the situation difficult.”

A court psychologist diagnosed the victim with separation anxiety after being separated from his daughter since her birth.
”My son will now only be allowed to meet his daughter again when she’s 18,” she said. ”It devastated him, he had a breakdown.
”This isn’t something we can just get over, it’s always there. This whole thing has had a huge negative impact on my son. He has serious trust issues, he doesn’t trust females.
”He finds it harder to date and to open up to girls. It’s impacted him for the rest of his life.
”For a while he was very angry, he would even be violent and smash things in the house.
”It was too much for him to cope.
”I don’t think he will ever be able to get over it. He questions everything now.
”When she accused him of rape he had an emotional breakdown. He wouldn’t speak, he just wanted to shut himself away in his room alone. He went very quiet- it was so worrying to watch.”
