At least one person was killed, while four others sustained varying degrees of injuries when unknown persons who attempted to invade Enugu Government House in the early hours of Saturday engaged in a gun duel with security men attached to the seat of power.
ThisDay gathered that the yet-to-identified men numbering about 50 had stormed the Government House at about 4:30am wielding dangerous weapons including guns and matchets among others and made serious attempts to force themselves into the place.
They however failed as the security men at the gate engaged them in a gun duel.
In the process, one of the attackers was shot dead, while four others including a security man at the Government House sustained gunshot wound
