The thought of slipping on a bikini might have been pushed to the back of our Quality Street-fuelled Christmas subconscious, but, as ever, the Victoria’s Secret Angels are swimsuit-ready and enthusiastic about showing off 2014’s new range.
Angels Alessandra Ambrosio and Candice Swanepoel, and newcomer Gracie Carvalho, take us through this year’s VS swim trends and the new silhouette encouraged through high-waist briefs and long line bikini tops. Ruffles, cut-outs, animal prints and monochrome also feature heavily in a collection that urges ladies to mix and match to make individual sets.
A knowledgeable Gracie says: “I think it’s fun to do because you can mix, like, whatever you like… Like different shapes of bikini, animal prints with a bright colour… It feels more young and fun.”
Elder Angel Alessandra meanwhile chimes in her thoughts on the beachside shoot: “You get really inspired, when you’re there getting the beautiful tan and just looking over and viewing St. Tropez, what else do you need?”
Well, Alessandra, if ever we needed bikini body inspiration, you just certainly gave it us, full throttle.
