A Brazilian university expelled a woman who was heckled by hundreds of fellow students for wearing a short, pink dress to class and fellow students staged a naked protest over the decision.
Geysi Arruda was accused of indecent dressing and sent home from the college in Sao Paulo.
Hundreds of students staged a nude protest carrying banners and wearing no clothes (of course, but in different degrees) in support of Arruda.
Oddee reports:
Naked Protest: The Universidade Bandeirante (Uniban) had expelled Arruda for “flagrant disrespect of ethical principles, academic dignity and morality,” in a statement published in several newspapers. Over 250 people appeared naked or wearing little clothes to fight against sexism in this Brazilian university.
