A Nigerian, David Ekpo has raised alarm over the alleged killing of a friend of his, Babatunde Oke who died in police custody on Wednesday, February 19, 2014.
According to citizen reports made by David Ekpo on Facebook and Twitter, Oke worked at the Ladipo Oluwole, Ogba branch of Eco Bank. He was said to have been accused of a N1.2 million fraud by his employer and handed over to the police. Oke is now dead and Ekpo alleges that he was tortured to death while in police custody.
Oke was a husband and father of two children aged 2 years and 5 months. Below are the Tweets on the incident.
