Dwayne Johnson who is also known as The Rock has been named the highest paid actor by Forbes.
The former wrestler, due to his feature in the action franchise film, Fast and Furious 8: Central Intelligence and the forth-coming Baywatch, has doubled his earnings.
Last year, Dwayne Johnson was in the 11th position of the highest paid actors’ list, earning $31 million from June 2014 to June 2015.
He outranked Robert Downey Jr. who had held the top spot of the list for three consecutive times.
He expressed his excitement on Twitter, encouraging his fans in the process:

Forbes reports that Johnson has earned $64.5 million this year.
Second on the list is Jackie Chan, at $61 million and third is Matt Damon at $55 million.
