The film of renowned author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s highly acclaimed novel, “Half of A Yellow Sun,” is set for release in cinemas in Nigeria.
The film staring Oscar nominee Chiwetel Ojiofor and Thandie Newton will be showing in the home country of Adichie in April 2014.
Based on the novel published in 2006, Half of a Yellow Sun tells the story of two sisters, Olanna and Kainene, during the Nigerian Biafran War in 1967-1970.
The effect of the war is shown through the dynamic relationships of four people’s lives ranging from high-ranking political figures, a professor, a British citizen, and a houseboy.
